KEITH is a long time Chicago song writer, hip hop artist, and music business entrepreneur. KEITH’s style brings up many heartfelt experiences and he often writes his songs with conviction and encouraging messaging for overcoming one's past. Alive For Progression being a mantra said aloud often in moments of tribulation and an ideology found in many of his bars. He’s most recent release “Background Check” touches basses on his past struggles but also acts a beacon for what wants to accomplish with his life and musical career. The ending scene of Background Check’s Music Video shows a drone shot high above the Chicago skyline panning slowly down to KEITH rapping the heaviest verse of the tune. KEITH says he’s got many more songs and albums coming, saying “I’ll release 108 stories, like the Sears Tower.” The artist KEITH considers his biggest influence to be Buddy Guy, the 8 time Grammy award winning legend who revolutionized blues music.
BARE WITH ME
After a 4 year hiatus, KEITH debuts “Bare With Me”, putting listener in his shoes as they get to experience what he was going through at a pivotal point in his life. The ten track project is lead by crowd favorites “Stay With Me” and “Collect” which explore both the emotionally in tune yet earnest, no-nonsense spirit towards his various relationships while club banger “Dance” keeps the people vibe’n despite the circumstances.
The entire project tells a full length story that provides relatability to something that has happened in every person’s life at some point. Quotable lyrics such as “we fought like holy field, but your touch is a holy feel” or “in mist of the curving got bent rims, rough on the road but i see the ends ” are often social media captions that showcase the upside to people’s breakthrough.
